Charlie has over twenty-five years of experience handling personal injury cases, and in that time has secured over $100,000,000 for injured persons throughout Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and attended the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1988. He earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from the School of Law at the University of Missouri in 1991. His law practice has always been focused in the area of personal injury law, helping injured persons in Joplin, Columbia, and throughout Missouri secure their rights and gain just compensation. 

While at the University of Florida, Charlie was an active member of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity and served in several leadership positions as a member of the fraternity. He also enjoyed participating in intramural sports and volunteering at Gainesville’s Ronald McDonald House. During law school at the University of Missouri, Charlie continued his passion for intramural sports by creating the law school intramural team, The Big Subpoenas. He was also a member of the Board of Advocates, Phi Alpha Delta professional fraternity, and the Moot Court Team.   Charlie has served as a guest lecturer in the University of Missouri School of Law’s Advanced Torts and Advanced Arbitration classes as well as in Mizzou’s undergraduate pre-law honors program classes.

Charlie is the proud father of four Mizzou students: his oldest daughter, Sarah, is a 2018 graduate of Mizzou’s School of Law and is currently a lawyer at the Columbia Sticklen Dreyer Tinney office, where her practice focuses on personal injury. His oldest son, Chance, is a senior communications major with an emphasis on sports broadcasting. His youngest daughter, Katie, is a junior majoring in strategic communications in the Journalism school and is also a member of Mizzou’s distinguished Tour Team. Lastly, his youngest child, William “Billy”, is a freshman at Mizzou and also plans to major in journalism. 

Charlie is currently licensed as an attorney in the states of Missouri (since 1991) and Kansas (since 1992). He is a current member of the American Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the Jasper County Bar Association, the Boone County Bar Association, and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA).
